Kel Sets the Records Straight with New Singles

“Innovation is critical for success” – Anon.

Lagos – In a dynamic and competitive music industry, which seems to be dominated by the male folk; Kel, one of the few female hip-hop artists in these parts, is set to prove that the industry is just enough to accommodate anyone with outstanding musical prowess, as she releases new singles. Following the success of her first song ‘Waa Wa Alright’, which enjoyed and is still receiving impressive reviews from music enthusiasts and the media, both on the local and international scene; Kel raises the bar with 2 new songs.

“Push” is a groovy tune with a fusion of several music genres; on this song, Kel demonstrates versatility as she partners with rising Ragga act, Nyore to make another hit song. “Push” will no doubt become a favourite on the playlists of many. She slows the tempo on the second song, “Beautiful Life”, which an easy listen and feel-good song. Both songs were produced by Tha Suspect, with beats sequenced by Dr. Frabs.

Kel started her journey to fame and success about 6 years ago and first got our attention in 2007, when she featured on the remix of IllBliss’ “You Go Wound”, alongside record label colleague and producer, Tha Suspect. Already being listed as one of the most anticipated albums of the year, Kel’s debut album, The Investment will showcase remarkable talent and brilliant collaborations with other acts such as Durella, Alaye, IllBliss, M.I and Shank just to mention a few. The album is being produced by Tha Suspect with beats from Dr. Frabs, TY Mix, Bigfoot, Knighthouse, J. Martins and many more.
